* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
SOUTHEASTERN GARFIELD COUNTY IN NORTHERN OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 415 PM CDT

* AT 329 PM CDT...A THUNDERSTORM WITH A HISTORY OF PRODUCING
TORNADOES WAS LOCATED 11 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DOUGLAS...MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 16 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE COVINGTON...DOUGLAS AND HAYWARD.

ANOTHER TORNADO MAY FORM AT ANY TIME. TAKE COVER NOW. ABANDON MOBILE
HOMES AND VEHICLES. IF POSSIBLE... MOVE TO A BASEMENT OR STORM
SHELTER. OTHERWISE... MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM OR HALLWAY ON THE
LOWEST FLOOR. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

SFC-BASED CU HAVE BECOME EVIDENT ACROSS CNTRL KS...ALONG THE WEST
EDGE OF A MOIST BOUNDARY LAYER. THIS MOISTURE WAS SURGING W AS THE
PRIMARY SWLY LOW-LEVEL MOMENTUM DEVELOPS ACROSS NEB IN TANDEM WITH
THE ERN INFLUENCES OF A MID-LEVEL WAVE. THIS WILL TEND TO LIMIT THE
SFC CONVERGENCE...AND...WITH LITTLE SUPPORT ALOFT...DRYLINE
CIRCULATION MAY REMAIN SHALLOW. BUT...AIR MASS WAS DESTABILIZING
AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR CHARACTER OF THE CUMULUS.

PRIND THAT THE HIGHEST CHANCE FOR TSTM INITIATION WILL BE OVER
NCNTRL KS IN CLOSER PROXIMITY TO THE MID-LVL WAVE/STRONGER SFC
CONVERGENCE. FARTHER S...INFLUENCE OF THE TORNADIC SUPERCELLS IN

110 Tornados prel. within two days is enourmous even in comparrison to earlier years.
This year will set a new standart.

Yep and would expect today will add a few more tornados to that list as well, I believe we've had more tornados so far this year then the whole of last year and we are only in May!

If every report is confirmed yes (but the number will probably be lower - even still we likely have had about 800 actual confirmed tornadoes so far).

NORTHEAST AT 13 MPH. SPOTTERS CONFIRMED A TORNADO AT 345 PM
NORTHEAST OF HENNESSEY IN FAR SOUTHERN GARFIELD COUNTY

NORTH OF THE KINGFISHER COUNTY LINE.

MPH.
