Re: Tornado outbreak again today?
The Parkersburg tornado is the second deadliest tornado in Iowa since 1950. The only tornado that was deadlier was the F5 that ripped through Charles City in 1968, killing 13.

Definitely, and according to the NWS survey team the tornado was either (E)F4 or (E)F5. I've seen footage of the aftermath in Parkersburg showing large house debris piles that appear to be in the EF4 range. Are there any videos of the actual tornado as it moved through Parkersburg? I just found one on YouTube of the tornado passing near Dunkerton as an over mile-wide wedge, humongous twister.

From what you guys have seen from the damage footage, would you guess EF4 or 5? I suppose they'll announce the final rating tomorrow.

It appears that the death toll for the Iowa storm is back up to 7 again.

I guess there was some confusion earlier and the number was reduced to 6. Either way, any loss of life to a storm is a heartbreaker.

Re: Tornado outbreak again today?
Be interesting to see whether any storm can take advantage of the likely boost in low level vorticity where the outflow boundary from the NE Texas storms meets the cold front, near, about, Vernon, TX

I read in an article that it is definitely at least an EF4.
I'm guessing the final rating will be high end EF4.

Anyone know if it'll be broadcast on the news channels (i.e. CNN, Fox News)?
