Alma develops in the EPAC and then the remnants crossover into the Atlantic and Arthur develops. Now it looks like the remnants of Arthur may try to develop as a new system in the EPAC on the GOT. Better yet a deep trough poised to move through the Central and southern CONUS may pick up whatever is in the EPAC at the time and move it over Central America into the BOC at which time something may develop again.
Has this scenario ever happened before? Seems very unique to me.

I cannot recall multiple crossovers ever happening either. It will definitely be interesting to watch!

Re: Atlantic-EPAC Alma/Arthur Cross-over Question
Only a few times in the past 50 years has a EPAC system crossed the isthums and become a Gulf system...
I get the feeling that I just wrote the same thing somewhere else only a few minutes ago...
LOL

Re: Atlantic-EPAC Alma/Arthur Cross-over Question
Should be pointed out that Arthur did NOT form from crossover remnants of Alma since they never made it off land and Arthur formed from a Low pressure area in the eastern extremity of the same trough that Alma developed in.

Re: Atlantic-EPAC Alma/Arthur Cross-over Question
Visible loops yesterday afternoon clearly showed Arthur's remnant circulation near the coast along the SE Bay of Campeche. The low in the East Pac is separate from Arthur's remnant low.
