No, the salt in the sea water would raise the boilng point enough that it would not boil.

Excessive heat warning here. TWC is calling for 100 tomorrow, I doubt it though. Still this is odd for this early in June. It's not just one or two days either.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind between 5 and 8 mph becoming calm.

Saturday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 101. West wind between 3 and 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. West wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 101. West wind between 5 and 11 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 72. West wind between 3 and 8 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 96.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 95. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.

This is totally insane! Air conditioner is now on and will be for the next week or so.

It was only a week or so back that I turned the heat on in the morning because it was 61 degrees in my house (we left a few windows open).

Heh...you think it's bad? I'm working one of the Army booths tomorrow for the Airshow...

High of at least 94 expected, with heat indices in the 100's...

No, the salt in the sea water would raise the boilng point enough that it would not boil.

You can boil the water out of ocean water. The water turns to steam. The salt stays behind. If you could catch the steam you would have pure water. It's called distillation.

Yes, you can. However the temperature that the seawater boils at will be higher than 100C (212F.)

So it's unusual for your A/C to be on in June? Coming from someone in the deep south, running the heat in June is what's insane. LOL
I'd be willing to bet nobody in the state of Texas has ever ran a heater in June. :P

My A/C has been on for months. I'd die if I turned it off.

It is pretty unusual Kelly. You probably don't run your heat that much in the winter. We do have the weather extremes, that's for sure!

This is mid-July heat wave weather for us. We went from weather that more like March and April to a little bit of May to right into summer. That does happen around here but usually not this hot this early.

If my A/C wasn't running, I'd be dying right now as well!

People do use heaters in Texas in the summer. There was a story in the Houston Chronicle about that just a few days ago. Apparently they keep some office buildings so cold that some workers especially women bring space heaters to work and put them on or under their desks. My daughter knows about this first hand as she shares an office with a gal that does that.

Some offices do it here as well. I don't get it.
