Incredible!! I wish we had LP supercells here instead of HP.. you just can't get those shots in heavy rain.

The one vehicle is indeed the TIV. If you look at the second photo, you can clearly see the marking of "TIV" on the front of the vehicle. Nice shots! All we have here are HP Supercells, when we do have them.

The vehicle in the photograph is the TIV2, an upgraded vehicle used by Shaun Casey to get a video of what is inside a tornado. It is also used in Stormchasers, the Discovery Channel programme about tornadoes and storms and everything inbetween. Its coming to the US this fall but I doubt it will be on in the UK till next year. Such is life

Not too often do you see storm pictures as nice as those. Love the last one with the angled light.

PS - How did you get so wide?

Edit: :darrow: The widest I'll probably ever get is with the Sigma 10-20 (Nikon's 12mm by 1.5 crop is only 18mm). Keep on shooting!

I shot with the Canon 10-22 EF-S using a 20D. It's pretty much the best lens I've ever used. :) In fact, my next camera will probably be a 40D just so I can still keep using the 10-22; the 10-22 doesn't work on the pro bodies or the 5D.
