Yeah, really.....

It sure is a wild concept!

Kinda reminds me of when I used to play Sim City, and you finally generated lots of money (I eventually learned to be patient and not cheat!)......anyway, you could purchase those huge skyscrapers, that were cities unto themselves. They looked very futuristic (for Sim City standards....LOL).

But this is a possible reality!

I don't think I'd want to go in it though. I'd rather just see it from afar.

Why do I get the feeling that this is NOT a good idea?

Dazed and Confused - love it! That's one of our all time favorite movies....LOL

I have a sneaky feeling this topic will morph into another direction...... :D

As for living in a skyscraper that has a revolving floor - no thanks! First off, you'd have to medicate me to sign a lease or mortgage agreement to purchase a condo in a high rise......Second, the price would stop me next.

No, I'm rather happy being in a two story......

But the very idea of a concept like this is interesting....

Quote from article...
Fisher acknowledges that he is not well known, has never built a skyscraper before and hasn't practiced architecture regularly in decades. But he insisted his lack of experience wouldn't stop him from completing the project, which has attracted top design talent, including Leslie E. Robertson, the structural engineer for the World Trade Center and the Shanghai World Financial Center.

All I can say is

mmmmm. . . don't you have to have stairs? perhaps in the middle near the elevators. If not, how do you do escape during a fire? The elevators won't be working. .

:uarrow: The central rotating pole thing will probably be wide enough to accommodate a couple extra large staircases. Safety is still a major concern, even in buildings that rotate.
