Bermuda should really keep an eye on Bertha, especially after the recent adjust to the west of the track:

Yeah Derek I heard someone say they weathered Fabian fairly well despite it being a much stronger hurricane then this one...at least for now anyway.
I suppose they must be used to close calls and a few hits.

I don't see an eye opening, Luis. Latest Microwave imagery doesn't show a discernable eye either. It's few hours old, however:

It hasn't got a bad shape to it though, there is some SE shear now on it and you can see the shear swing round a little bit in direction if you watch the longer length loops.

There may be some shear from the south but the LLC is under the convection. It looks decently organized.

Oh yeah there does seem to be hints of an eye there right in the middle of the deep, that should be watched I think as it looks a little suspect!

I think we are just seeing thinner clouds over the eye, from the sunrise this morning.

Even if that is the case Thunder it still looks a lot better then it did 12hrs ago and the structure has recently started to look much better and more like it did when it was stronger, I wouldn't be surprised if some slow strengthening has started to occur.
