I don't think Recon will find 80 kts today, convection is quite weak and the NE side almost has no convection at all. She could make a comeback in the next 3-4 hrs before Recon arrives.

I doubt it. The stall is resulting in upwelling.

Was it Epsilon in 2005 that caused him to say "I am running out of things to say"?

Argh... NOW the weather charts have resumed. (Power went out again, after only a few minutes. Hopefully we're back for good after 14 1/2 hours)

Looks like Bertha's stall may turn into a SSE drift, that would be good news for Bermuda if it verifies.

And it doesn't look like she's moving anytime soon. Could be a TS before she moves over warmer waters.

Bertha is self-destructing in two different ways. The first was the never ending ERC, which killed both the inner and outer eyewalls...the second is upwelling, which is finishing off what is left.

Wow, Bertha is almost completely still right now (perhaps even drifting slightly south and east?)...
