Nightie-night from me, too, folks - gotta rise up and do the "work thingie"
tomorrow. The other nurse quit and took a job elsewhere, so, guess who has to do all of the procedures/tests while trying to deal with patient problems and putting patients back for exams and watch insurance and disability forms pile up on my desk while eight others are calling for med refills to their pharmacies, in the meantime???
Your's truly......... :o Just help me out a bit, folks, please? PRAY that
our doc finds another nurse capable of splitting the job duties so this ONE
nurse doesn't look like this! --------->
:23: :drinking:
LMAO!!! I appreciate even kind thoughts, as well!
Sleep warm and well, my friends.

I'm glad everyone had a decent Valentines Weekend. For me, it was celebrating my mom and step-dad's 11th Anniversary on the 15th of Feb.
I was extremely giddy on Friday...so if you hard someone that was extremely happy-go-lucky, it was probably me. I wasn't on any caffeine either! That was the scary part!
Temperatures are actually staying rather steady. In the 30's I may add! Which is a heat wave for us...and it fell good to see the snow melting a bit.

Hey! Glad to see that you are enjoying a nice heat wave up north.
I said goodnight earlier, but I can't sleep so here I am, for a little while longer anyways.

Still under a "winter storm" warning here...a little snow, but the worst part is the 1/2" to 3/4" crust of ice underlying it. I can't even get Her Royal Poogleness to go 'side...
Driving on this in that "cockroach-with-wheels" (2000 red tudor Chevy Cavalier) is a "No Way, Jose!"; the bridges are impassable, and the standard "you risk death and destruction, murder and disease" bit from the Missouri State Highway Patrol is in effect.
The DVD is consuming "MiB II" as I write this; bored stiff, and so here I am and shall remain until further notice.

Morning everyone! Looks like I will be travelling off to college in the snow and ice. Can we say fun?
Thought I would warm up by the fire before heading out here in a few minutes. Everyone have a great day!

Hey everyone.....Serious situation here this morning!!! I didnt get much sleep with the storm pounding us late last night but when I didnt see any light coming from outside @ 8am I knew something was wrong.
Firstly, I checked my weather instruments and they are functioning....thankfully. I then got a fire started and the power is flickering quite a bit...thats when I noticed that you cant see 10 feet outside!
We have a 'Florida' room out in the front of our house that faces east to the lake...there is snow pressure punching walls, cracks and anything with a small airspace to form drifts on the inside of the house!
I looked out front and there are spots in the road with no snow on it, and then there is a 6 foot drift enveloping the front of the house and overall.....3-5 foot drifts are everywhere. Our side bushes are almost totally buried and if you have seen my pics from Webshots along the side....those bushes are 6-8 feet high (the bigger ones!)
Our side roads are completely shut and the winds on my instruments are almost steady and sustained at 55 mph!!! The wind chills here are into the -40 to -65 range and this is very very dangerous up here on the hilltops. Current temperature is 3 degrees and areas south and off the hills arent getting what we're getting!
Highest wind gust so far has been 73 mph There's shingles, sticks, branches and God knows what all behind our house from God knows where! Heavy snow is falling, but it will be real tough to get an accurate measurement until the winds die off and I get out there....maybe tomorrow!
I've seen some winters up here, but none like this....with the cold and blizzard + conditions, I hope this is the last of it. It takes alot to really make me freak out over a storm with prolonged winds and snows like this...but this is in no doubt a SNOWCANE where I live as of right now. I just hope the power doesnt go as it would take days just to dig out of here as it stands.
It looks so much calmer on TV but we are buried once again. This is just like Mt Washington, NH on a wintry day and the people below in the valleys are going about business not even knowing! I'll keep an eye out and try to be safe....I cant wait to snap some pics of this storm so you all can see it in my winter scrapbook. Take care and if any of you were up here in these conditions, you'd be pretty paranoid with whats happening...I know I am! :o

Skating Rink!!! :O
Currently 27F degrees and overcast here in Roanoke Rapids!
Just a solid sheet of ICE today after sleet and freezing rain from mid afternoon yesterday through early this morning!!! :O
Breeze, the best to you and your workplace in getting another nurse to help out with the workload!
Rob, I don't envy you at all having to CLEAR OUT from under that Blizzard's "present" to you and many others up that way!! Sheesh WAY TOO MUCH at any given time with this latest system!
Bill, I see your state has a sheet of ICE too like here in NC!
What a WINTER and SPRING can't arrive any TOO SOON!!!
Howdy EveryWxone!
Have a Great Monday!
