It is thanks to his expertise that my son was able to have a kidney transplant. If he had not pioneered heart transplants, kidneys would not have been transplanted either.

I did a research report on this man when I was in high school. I honestly can't think of any other single person who made a larger impact on medicine than this man. My wife is a doctor and she uses some of the things he invented on a nearly daily basis.

I wonder how many people led normal productive lives that otherwise would have died if it werent for the efforts of this man.
