I live in Trinidad - the most southerly isle of the Caribbean. Can I ask someone a question please? What is the chance of invest 94 hitting Trinidad? Thanks

It's hard to say, jusjas. Until an actual center forms (which it's in the process now of doing), only then can we determine with much better accuracy where a particular storm will go. So you can rest a bit easier, it appears that 94L will move to your north and affect the northern leeward islands, possibly Puerto Rico and Hispaniola. But that is days and days away.

The oil futures markets are not expecting this to make it into the gulf yet. 94L is a little further south than Berta was so it will be an interesting week.

Well it amounts to this...does it follow the weakness left behind by Bertha, or does the ridge build in and push this thing across Florida. WAY to early to tell. GFDL 12z brings it to Cat. 3 by the way east of Florida.

Wow, 94L looking better and better on the IR, I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes a TD very soon.

Speculation is driving me nuts...

It's far too early to prognosticate beyond the islands, in my view.

GFDL is bringing into South Florida as a CAT 3?

Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets geeked up over stuff like this. It's sad that it leads to death and destruction, but they sure are fun.

Outflow and convection are looking healthier and stronger. However, the northern side of the storm still appears faily ragged.

How is the shear around it? Is it in a somewhat favorable environment or is it very favorable?

Yeah, but the speculating 7 to 10 days out has got to go. Why are we even thinking that far out, when we do not know where it'll be in 2 days? The models don't even have a LLC to attach themselves to, let alone being able to track it 7+ days out!

No, it has it peaking at a 3 SOUTHEAST of Florida.

The word/phrases: "Florida", "East Coast" and "Gulf of Mexico" have absolutely no need to be mentioned. Right now it is a tropical wave well to the east of the Windward Islands.
