TS Cristobal obs / preps / cams - NE US/Atlantic Canada
I decided to create this thread since it is right off the coast. Anyone in Florida with past observations can also post them.

Re: 96L observations/preparations - Southeast US
Definitely band like storms. nice and clear (albeit a little gray) outside. Not windy right now, but when the rains pass through get a few minor gusts.

96L has caused a good deal of rain in the Orlando area over the past couple of days. Today, in particular, a persistent band of showers and storms on the southern edge of the circulation has made things quite wet. It has been raining, on and off, for a good chunk of the afternoon and evening.

I'm actually hoping that this one comes up the coast to give us some much needed rain.
If the "Bermuda High" is off of the coast and pumping up the heat, wouldn't that force 96L to stay along the coast and perhaps move in that direction, assuming it doesn't get too strong?

Satellite presentation looks very impressive at sunset, with a puffball blowup spreading cirrus out in a perfect pseudo-CDO "Look, Ma; no shear!" pattern.
Charleston radar shows a few intense cells in that area in an apparent orbital motion around a stationary common center, and now lining up into eyewallish-looking arc on the west side.
Not to wishcast or anything, but this thing has an Humberto smell about it.

Alright...normally I have my weather station uploading to my computer and weatherunderground all the time. Been bad about that ever since I came back home from Va.
Turning it on now, and if it looks like we might get something, will definitely post the link to the data here.
The only bad thing is that my humidity sensor is broken and my anemometer is in a sheltered area. I might have to relocate to my sis' room so I can put it out in the front yard.

Nice night here in Savannah. Not expecting anything here from the looks of things. In fact, the rainbands have extended towards the inland counties more than here on the coast. Go figure. Looks like the Dome of Dull Weather has protected us once again.

Re: TD Three observations / preparations and web cams - Southeas
What a full moon last night here in Wrightsville Beach, NC! Guess the high tides are going to do some damage with this storm. Currently partly cloudy with rainbands in the distance to the south.
