Sounds like the NHC is really getting worried about this thing if they are sending another plane out in 6 1/2 hours when the next one hasn't even left scheduled to leave in an half hour. So this is when we will most likely go from Invest to TD to TS overnight. If they find out that the storm is going in between the Yucatan and Cuba, this could become a very dangerous system.

That schedule was from this morning. Derek thinks the late evening/early morning one will be canx, as they rarely fly a nightime mission on an invest.

The one that leaves just before sunrise, that might still be on if 94L still looks decent in the overnight.

Just an educated, but unofficial guess.

Wasn't recon due to leave about 25 minutes ago? I'm not seeing a HDOB.

Just for curiosity, they can't fly over Cuba or they don't want?

It requires special clearance to fly over Cuba.

(OK, didn't need that.)
94L looks better this morning, and looks north of 17.5N. I almost hope the plane finds a CC and put an end to the suspense!

I see winds with a Westerly component on the recon, this *probably* becomes Dolly today.

I might be reading the recon numbers wrong since I just woke up, but it looks like they've found west and southwest surface winds already. It's not a tight LLCC but it's an LLCC nonetheless. They should probably go ahead and pull the trigger at 11.

The maps update automaticaly. Right now I would say that they haven't issued any new information on Invest 94L due to a coming upgrade. We'll just have to wait and see :-)

It's quite possible the information may be a bit delayed at the NHC and could come out as a special advisory at about 11:30 instead of the normal time.
