Stop with the "east" nonsense, please. Unless you can give us at least one example of a storm moving east under a ridge. I've been at this for nearly 40 years and I can't think of one.

Understandable if a squeezeplay comes in from the n/nne/ne and bends it back. Almost all of the models have a similar scenario. Just gotta hang tight and wait.

Steve

You really want this to go to florida dont you?

Shortwave now showing Cancun center strengthening. That could be the center after all. That would be a whole new track and intensity ball game.

its becoming pretty clear the center is in the process of reforming just east of cancun.. it is quite close to the radar site as well. so as it is still looking at height of at least 2000 feet it is safe to say that the old low is no longer apparent at all when earlier it was on the original loop i made a couple hours ago..also the feeder band is a good giveaway as to where the center is.

a few more new images

I believe he was saying bends it "back" to MX. You know where it's already making landfall tonight purportedly.

If what I'm seeing (Cancun radar) is the center, then it's completely moving due west.

If this does happen to miss the Yucatan P. (which I think will happen) do you think this will effect the overall track in a major way D. Ortt?

I'm going to bed now. If the LLC does reform to the east of Cancun overnight, which with such strong continuous convection seems the only likely outcome, with all the track and intensity adjustments that will follow from that, I expect tomorrow to turn into quite a crazy day for the whole Texas coastal region, and so I'm gonna need my sleep. Have a good night!

You can't argue radar. Looks like a scrape of Yucatan then off to the GOM races.

20N must have been a spent vortex.

Some of you newer folks need to start showing a little more respect to the pros and Older members, quick way to get banned..

anyways the MLC is in the process of taking over and should be completed overnight..

I'll stick with the NHC track.
It just went a little more towards the north and now the turn begins.

Sure looks to me like the whole system is consolidating right there where Aric said the new center was forming. I have to agree with him on this one!
