That is not dry air. Its Nuetral Air. There is no dry air anywhere near dolly.

I tend to agree with AL...Still looks very disorganized...SE quad very poor looking. Could be an eye, but imo not ready for that.

Hate to be the killjoy here, but it simply looks like convection drying up in the middle of the storm, rather than an eye like feature. I don't think the inner core has organized sufficiently for such a feature to develop right now.

not going to argu with a pro met, does appear to me the convection hints of wrapping around the "dry" or "convection free" area or spot watching the Sat IR loops but could all be just an illusion from me watching to many sat loops..... thanks

Just MHO... I truly believed she would have blown up and slow down in the gulf, but to this point I have been very disappointed with Dolly... very scattered and spread out.. good news for the affected areas.. Not what I expected

It was never forecasted by the NHC or the pro mets here to "blow up" until tomorrow.

Not saying its dry air...I am waiting on recon...although the the NNE'ly winds to the SW of this feature have me scratching my head...

BUt...just because you do not see dry air on the WV doesn't mean there is not dry air. WV is a snapshoot of the mid and upper levels. It really doesn't tell you what is happening below 400 mb's.

Inner core looks to be organizing rapidly. Satellite presentation looking better with every frame. Convection looks to be filling in nicely around the center. Last VDM @ 23:59Z had CP of 1000mb. Will be interesting to see what recon finds....I'd say 995mb easy......MGC
