Surface High in Gulf of Mexico?

Surface High in Gulf of Mexico?
It looks like the surface high that was over the east-central Gulf of Mexico has dissipated.

The way I see it, that is what was creating the east to west flow around the southern side of the high from Claudette for the last few days.
The upper level high which was strengthening Claudette is supposed to restrengthen her over the Gulf of Mexico.
It isn't like we don't have a surface cold front moving toward the southeastern U.S. This system obviously has a SW to NE flow ahead of it. The trough catching or not catching is obviously an issue.
I have good reason to mention it, as this surface high that existed still a player in the movement of Tropical Storm Claudette.
