The crawl to the coast reminds me of Frances which almost stopped as she got to the coastline.

What an ardous wait for the residents!

The more she eases north, the easier on Brownsville and the worse on points north.

Painful, s l o w trek inland.
Good luck to those waiting this out. Hope the flooding isn't too severe but I fear it will be bad with the stall/crawl.

Last radar frame from BRO shows that the eyewall is basically intact again.

With the talk of a northerly move, wasn't there a model a couple of days ago that showed Dolly basically paralleling its way up Padre Island towards Corpus Christi?

Yeah, I'm watching that blob in the Gulf headed for Galveston and it's going from yellow to green. I wish we'd get a bit more rain but I guess I should be glad for the 1.5 inches we got with the heavy band early this morning. Woke me up!

Houston Metroplex and Galveston are not getting near the rain that we need. The little amount around 430am helped, but just a bandaid on a hatchet wound. There seems to be capping in place not allowing showers to come ashore.

Jim Cantore said alot of people on S. Padre didnt even board up and the police had to chase them away from the beaches.

Dr. Lyons on TWC is now saying Dolly is going to come in N. of S.Padre Island. Should be some very interesting beachcombing when this is all over.

Because of Dolly's N jog she may actually miss Brownsville and SPI to the northeast, and dump her heaviest winds into a rural area. That's actually good news, if there is any.

Yeah the eyewall looks back in place. And at least the "inner" one is still offshore, it kind of looks like there are two.

Looks like it may be headed back in now. I am concerned later today about a left hook in the track.
