Wow, exciting mornings! Not here, the forecast calls for partly to mostly sunny skies in my area, and I have.............clouds and flurries/drizzle! Can't complain though, I get a 2 hour break from work! Went in at 8, sent home at 9, and I have to call back at 11:05, but the conditions are the same as they were when I left so I don't predict going back when I call, more than likely I'll have to call back again, lol! Take it easy up there Rob!

State of Emergency declared here now...this is getting worse! -55 wind chills, 65 mph winds and cant see a thing! I just found a 7 foot snowdrift IN my garage along a wall where its pressuring in. My aunts house up the street has a window blown out and theres 50" of snow in her bedroom! Unreal! Temps here are about 4 degrees.

Tis 14* today...and nothing precipitation wise to report. We did have a little ice accumulations on the tree branches. Needless to say, it was really beautiful walking to classes this morning.

Rob...Good luck cleaning and picking up from what mother nature left you. That's one heck of a snowstorm!

Time to eat lunch and then to head back to classes.

Good WARM morning from Southern California. It was only 55 or so when I went to bed at 1 AM and it is now 60.4 - could be warmer but we have a bunch of clouds.

Rob - sounds like you're getting the Blizzard To Be Remembered up there! :o With roof shingles coming off, you'll have to be careful for roof leaks when the snow begins to melt! :o And snow drifts INSIDE the house?! :o That's unheard of for me!

To everyone who is in the path of this monster storm - PLEASE stay safe. It's a doozy, and it's NOT one to be messed with. This storm is going into the record books, I can guarantee you that right now.

I wish it would rain some more. *sigh* They were calling for rain originally around Thursday, but now they've removed it from the forecast. :( I know we need time to dry out, but we still need more rain to get us out of our drought.

Take care everyone, STAY SAFE, and STAY WARM and DRY! Joshua

Those are SOME drifts, Rob! Yeah, you might see the ground again by Memorial Day, maybe.

We have about 3" of sleet pellets everywhere, except there's a 2 foot pile of the little buggers in front of the house where they bounced off the roof. Kinda neat. 8)

heehee.....snowing real hard again....at least it is calmer. Seems as though there's a back edge to all of this and we are just inside of it far enough to get backlashing heavy snows. Winds are down to around 15-35 mph now....much calmer. I'm still not going out until tomorrow! lol

Well everyone...seems like some of you have had exciting days. Snow in the house? Yeesh! :o I have a lot to do this evening so I am about ready to leave. I won't be back on this evening unless (God forbid) there is breaking news and I have to man the wires.

Keep the fire going....Stay warm!

Wow Rob! That's SOME storm you've been getting! Glad you're safe though. Amazing pics too. Snow inside the house? Now that's just insane! Keep us posted as I know you will.

Sunny and cool here.
Believe me, I'd take some of that snow off your hands if I could.

breeze...good luck with getting another nurse to help you out! And I'm glad your electric bill wasn't as high as you expected. I guess I need to try more to keep things off when not in use. :?

Everyone stay safe in that winter storm. I heard there have been 20 deaths blamed on it so far. I'm not sure what happened, but it's just awful. :(
