You take pennies?

I just came across these really funny videos on youtube of this guy who goes around and tries to buy everything with pennies. Thought I'd share.

My friend at school gave the librarian 99 pennies for a £1 library fine, then when the librarian counted them out he handed over a £1 coin. The librarian wasn't happy, and my friend got a 2 week ban from using the library.

She is supposed to take that. That is legal monetary tender.

I suspect she was just angry that he made her count all the pennies and THEN asked her to take a 1 pound coin instead when he came up a penny short. ;) :D

Plus, the laws on currency acceptance may be different in the UK.

Any body using a 2 dollar bill? Try buying something with one here in the US. Most teens working in fast food joints think it is a counterfeit bill when it is legal tender.

I think he thought he was funny and was pulling a joke on the librarian. He knew he only had 99 pennies it seems. The joke backfired on him.
