This makes me happy

#1 Postby andrewsmith1 » Mon Jul 28, 2008 7:12 pm

My wife and I foster dogs through several pet rescue groups. A few months ago we fostered a 3 legged dog named Trey. His new family sent the rescue group some video of him in his new home and one of the volunteers put it to music. Seeing these videos of the dogs we took care of before they found their forever homes makes every minute worth it.

We got a call this afternoon and may be fostering a Boxer with 4 3 week old puppies in the next few days. With the 5 dogs we already have and a Border Collie that we are fostering we may soon have 11 dogs running around here.

Here is the video of Trey at his new home. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Opwz4ti29I

I love stories like this with happy endings, and your friend did a great job on the video. Lots of smiles while I watched.

You do an awesome thing Andrew by taking care of these animals while they await a new happy home. I respect that and wish there were more folks like you.

Thanks for sharing.

Oh what a wonderful dog rescue story/video to share! Trey looks so happy as does his sibling, until they both want the frisbee!

And God bless you and your wife for fostering dogs. There need to be many more people like you both out there in this world.

I love happy stories like this one. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks everyone. My wife is on her way to meet and bring back the mamma boxer and her 4 3 week old babies. I just cleaned out the air conditioned room off the garage for them. It should allow them to be comfortable while mom takes care of her babies.

My wife broght the new fosters home today. There are actually 5 puppies. Mom has been racing around the yard with my border collies so it looks like she will work out just fine. I think the pups are older than 3 weeks since they already have sharp teeth and are moving around a lot (even though they are not graceful).
