Large wave in Central Atlantic

Yeah, the season hasn't gotten really going yet. That happens in August/Sept, peaking in mid-Sept.

Interresting i saw that this morning convection seems slightly on the increase, but given its location with the SAL surronding it, i'm a little dubtfull about any developpement....but as usual let's see if something can happen we're in August and all the windows could be opened, good luck for you WAVE ...

Tkanks for the SAL for the moment , us in the Carib are enjoying the fair weather and the Cycling tour of Guadeloupe without any troubles, hope this trend will continue all the week and the whole cyclonic season ( looks like an utopia but we continue to monitor any suspicious areas with the )...

Whats interesting will be what the SAL is like in the next 24-48hrs because whilst the SAL is pretty intense ahead of it its what comes behind this wave that is far more important.

Looking at a loop of the SAL, it is possible that this wave may scoot under the SAL, or at least catch only the southern periphery of it. This wave is low latitude, and might just be able to pull it off.

The season has NOT started cranking yet. Yes, we've had 4 storms but those are bonuses. The good part starts now. Also, there appears to be two (2) waves behind this one but it might be several more days before they are ready to exit the coast. Can't be sure of anything at this point with these waves.

Indeed cycloneye its quite a large outbreak but I'm not too surprised given how strong the African systems have been thus far that they are dragging alot of SAL off Africa, give it another 20 days and it shouldn't be nearly as much of a factor.

GeneratorPower, 3 storms in July would at least suggest that we had a burst of activity in July, agreed the main part of the season hasn't kicked in yet but this season may be like 2003 which was pretty evenly paced throughout, who knows?!

Absolutely Cycloneye and persisting at key periods for some developping waves, tkanks afterwards because of the numbers of classified would be more important in only July.

Guys, its only the beginning of August. Certainly, we have had a busy July, but that neither says we will have a busy or quiet season.

Now, this wave doesnt look like it will last. But this will clear the way for anyway waves behind it. And if the SAL is weak by the end of this weak, we might have something that is currently in Central Africa.

If this wave does not move at a rapid pace, it may stay behind the current SAL outbreak. I have no knowledge of what is behind the wave over Africa though.
