Shows it fairly well. Center is located near the southernmost part of the curling rain bands.

You can't get any closer then this to the coastline unless you are inland.

Anyway I don't think it will make much difference because all of the bad weather will be away from the center
if what you are saying is true.

You can laugh all you want fasterdisaster, but that is the center, and its not on the LA coast. The void space the rainbands are rotating around is just that....void space. Folks this is a tropical storm, not an annular hurricane with a giant eye.

If your center location is correct (EWG, and I suspect it may be), then this is an EXTREMEly compact storm at this point with a single feeder band. Are we dealing with a TS or Tornadoe here? Seriously, that could be such a small vortex that the winds in one small area could be pretty damaging at times.

What? I've been the one saying the eye was nowhere near Louisiana all along. Are you sure you're not confusing me with stormcenter (no offense stormcenter  )

Recon should give us a better center location soon. It will be interesting to see where they place it.

I can't tell you how many times I see people on these forums mistake dry-air for the eye.

Recon will confirm the precise location of the center very soon!

Correct me if I'm wrong hurakan but I think the pressure is down to 999.6 mb now? Also top winds so far are 44 kt fl but those definitely aren't the highest they'll find.

It will be somewhere in between where everyone of us thinks it is.

EWG, Normandy got to go with your center via the radar loop.

Stormcenter- the IR Sat image doesnt really tell the tale. You cant even see the circulation. I prefer the radar loop now since its close to the coast.

BTW- EWG what in the world are you doing in Galveston? Arent you supposed to be in FL.....
