Re: ATL: Tropical Storm Edouard - Gulf of Mexico
Regardless of where the eye lands... Southern Louisiana has felt the effects of this Tropical Storm. Vermilion Parish and now moving into Cameron Parish.

Good night all. Let's hope Eddie doesn't cause too much havoc wherever
he ends up.
he ends up.

Well I'm signing off as well...except I don't get to go to bed. I have to be at work at 2:30. I just left that place!!! For me though, this is like the night before Christmas. Too excited to sleep. Please take that into context. I'm not hoping for death and destruction.

So we can all agree at this point that Ed will hit somewhere between the Bay (Galveston) and Sabine Pass at this point? Galveston will mean that it couldn't do anything even remotely parabolic like it's predicted to do (which should also mean a weaker storm) and Sabine would mean and almost direct NW movement at this point which IMO would mean semi-rapid strengthening. So I hope for no strengthening and a Galveston hit for many reasons, but I just don't know. Does anyone here really believe it will do anything outside those parameters?

You know, this is almost the exact same track of a hypothetical 'doomsday' Houston storm... obviously we're not talking Cat 4/5 here, but it's kind of chilling to see the track come to life...

I'm not sure but I think it's clearing out an eye.

I just discovered that you can see the center much more clearly on this loop: http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radbl ... rainsnow=0
The general area of it is easy to spot, but pinpointing the exact location is somewhat difficult right now given the constantly evolving radar image. My best guess is that it is somewhere in or around this vicinity: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3015/273 ... f2.jpg?v=0
