Well actually I think only 2005 would be ahead of where we are at this early stage. I doubt we will be able to keep up that pace in terms of ACE but does look like above average is odds on...

Also amazing to think but May-July has managed to get half the ACE for the entire 2007 season roughly!

ACE is only for tropical storms. Tropical depressions, subtropical depressions, and subtropical storms don't count.

There is an error at wikipedia on the season total number.They have 32.2,but in reallity it is 37.5125,prior to the first Edouard number.

The new ACE number for the season including the 4 AM CDT 55 kts for Edouard is 38.79.
