Well, my favorite girl name still is:
Nina (what I named my oldest). She has never, ever been one of 2 Nina's (all thru school)! To be honest, she's not thrilled with this name. At other times, she likes it.
Boy name:
Kevin (never had a boy, so I couldn't get to use it!).
I named my youngest daughter Laura. Thinking so many girl babies were being named Lauren. Well, Laura has always been one of two Laura's (sports teams, school, etc.). Didn't realize how popular Laura had become, back in 1990.
I wanted names that were not commonly used anymore for my girls. Just a personal preference. Mainly b/c my full name is Mary Anne and can you imagine how many Mary's there were at my Catholic HS? I swear, someone would yell out Mary and 50 girls would look that way. That's probably why I loved Nina so much!

Well I had to just jump into this topic. My husband and I have decided if this baby is going to be a boy then we will name him David (after my husbands father) and if it is a girl then Sarah. I have no idea where the name Sarah popped into my hubby's head from, but I cant argue with him, I chose my 4 yr old sons name
so it is his turn now

Ooo, good place to get ideas ! baby name books are just too overwhelming ! Nothing like stifting through 8,000 names...
to narrow it down to a couple.
My favs; Girl~ Olivia (nicknames-Livia,Livi,Liv)(BTW this is my daughters name !) I'm also partial to anything to do w/ flowers~ Lilly,Rose,Violet...
Boys; David, Gerald, Justin (I tend to like traditional for boys)
Hopefully you'll get some great ideas to pass along to your sister ! ~K

Well I guess I've turned into a traditional person in my old age. When I named my daughters I wanted trendy names. Tracy and Tish I love their names, don't get me wrong.
Now as I research my family tree, I love some of the family names and kinda wish I had chosen them. So I guess I'd say a good place to look would be in your family history.
