Let's get rid of August

#1 Postby Andrew92 » Mon Aug 11, 2008 8:43 pm

This may be the dumbest article I have EVER read. And I am not even close to kidding when I say that either!

(that even includes anything I've seen in the National Enquirer and other similar magazines)

That is a dumb article. I think the middle of April is when all the bad things start happening.

lol I thought it was funny, the author kinda has a point August does seem like the dullest month of the year.

Not to get overly off-topic, but this same website also thought a couple years ago that the HeadOn commercial was one of the best and most well-thought out commercials of all time.

Maybe the HeadOn commercial originated in August.

The August article is an attempt at humor and the HeadOn article is right. What's the big deal?

The people with August birthdays are a sorry bunch.

excuse me. . . and you are?

I would also liike to point that Mother Teresa, Robert DeNiro, Madonna and Napleon Bonaparte were also born in August.

It's stupid attempt at humor and satire that doesn't quite get off the ground.

Some reporters have nothing better to do. I feel sorry for him more than anything.

This guy needs to put his bong down and reread what he wrote. This is the stupidest proposal I've ever seen.

I think some are taking this article seriously when it was obviously a joke.

Hmmm, there are good attempts at humor, but also bad ones. I can safely say this is a very bad one.

How do you know when your humor doesn't work. WHEN NO ONE GETS IT! Try again Slate.
