Look at the Key West radar, cpdaman.
It's been telling the truth all night.

If this new position pans out what changes in track can we expect? Trough appears to have turned it North sooner than forecast.

It's probably inland to the NNW of where they estimated it to be an hour ago. Tomorrow it will probably emerge somewhere between east of Havana and south of Key West.

i'm losing sanity by the minute

key west radar maybe tracking a MLC no

Would the NHC put a VDM there, only if the center was very close by?

RLAO3?

also the bands west of key west are streaming westward, what's up with that

Does the NHC have a public phone number? If so, I am going to call to find out what is going on lol.

I reckon recon flew out expecting the centre to be still over water, as it would have been if it followed the NHC track. By the time they got there the llc had jumped up under the convection and into cuba earlier than forecast by which time recon were left with no llc to find.

In that case it really won't lose much organization over land.
