well WXMAN 57 should be up in about 20 minutes ......i hope he has a good heart

before bed he said to look for an eastward shift....that i remember

but he didn't mention a 25 mph acceleration

matt look at the radar it appears within an hour (at most) this will be over water.

i really hope she does not slow over water that could be real bad

look at this radar

this has to be one of the most confounding, frustrating storms I've ever tracked.

They are never the same caneman. That's why we come here. But I agree, this one has been one of the more interesting to track.

I would not be surprised to see a late advisory, like after 5.

The GFS has this stalling out off Georgia, turning back towards the Jacksonville area, crossing Florida again, and moving back into the GOM in about 5 days.

Not too late I hope - but understandable considering the confusion tonight.

Kyle 2003 was one. But this beats it because of the land and all the factors that go into making this weird. So yes this is the weirdest in this decade

Also if this fellows the Gfs thinking this will become the weirdest in recorded history.

Doesn't suprise me...I think this advisory could have significance to Metro South Florida. They are sure taking their time with it.

It would be really bad - it's the middle of August, and overnight low temps at the buoys along the Keys are in the low 80s. It's stupidly humid.

note the southerly inflow in between the one mountain peak in central coastal cuba and the gap bewteen where the high hills start to the right of that

it seems this storm is kinda crazy, perhaps someone got past the guards at the HAARP facility in ALASKA lol

I just pinched myself up here on the Treasure Coast. Nope, not dreaming...And we are not under any kind of watch yet up here. I see that nice big ball of convection heading my way. I'm thinking things are about to change. Business is about to pick up around here.

Edit: As of 5:00AM we are under a TS Watch from Jupiter all the way to Sebastian Inlet :double:

yes the all nite crew should be ready to listen to the awe of those early riser's

they need to put up hurricane watches and tropical storm warnings up the east coast as well

not saying it will end up there, but heck they have shown they have no idea with this one as of late.

It's really funneling through there, isn't it? It's like a flume.

22.5 NORTH...LONGITUDE 80.9 WEST

- not much change from earlier. It must still be sheared then with the LLC on the southwest side. Probably it will get better organized over water.
