I asked this about 300 pages... but what is the pressure gradient of the EGOM? It seems the pressure normally would correlate to a 40-45 knot tropical storm, not an intensifying storm on the brink of the Hurricane Barrier.

did key west winds turn west yet, appears the center is just north of there per radar

based on that realization she is strengthening at a good clip IMO

Yep tornado warning out now.

Also pressure is clearly dropping still and the presentation also still is improving and Fay is also responding increasingly well to the hot waters with very deep convection bursting near the center.

Interesting to see that the winds are calm in Key west despite recon showing the center is probably just a little SSE of Key West. Still I suppose the center is still broad enough for it to put Key West in the center.

Don't say that. But I have been looking for a good map of the ridge which is keeping this thing from bending to the NE. If anyone has a good current/recent map, I'd love a link. That ridge is the only think keeping this thing from turning out of my hair.
