David Bernard from CBS 4 Miami (they also have an online stream) just got a report from aircraft reconnaissance of 977 millibars and 75 knots!
He said though that those were probably not surface data but flight level observations.

He had a really shocked expression when reading the data! He then said he needed to make a ton of calls to confirm....

He must be talking about an "imaginary" recon plane.

Air Force recon has not yet entered the core of Fay from the northwest.

The printed recon report is clearly inaccurate; the data may have been mistyped.

This is another case of the lack of accountability in the media (regarding the reliability of sources).

I doubt that would happen without serious surface responses in the form of a bursting wrapped eye and other necessary features for 977. If that is true I"M PACKIN!!!

Those wind reports from the keys give a good indication along with the radar of where exactly this system is. Only seems to be moving very slowly at the present time but its getting harder to ignore the NE motion on the radar...

ya 997 is a mistake HOWEVER she has a tiny inner core which would lead me to believe a nice little improvement in organization could lead to a RI , especially since she appears to be taking her time bathing in 87 degrees waters after her muddy trip thru cuba and the dominican

If he didn't have confirmation, why the hell did he say it on air? The media baffle me at times.

The recon report from Channel 4 is probably not true. The plane is nowhere near the center yet. Also people need to look at base reflectively on the radar. Composite sometimes shows stuff that isn't falling.

You guys also post too much. I keep getting stopped from posting, because 3 or 4 people have posted before me.

I use composite to see structure, I'm not concerned if it's hitting the ground or not.

That's just mindboogling to me. If that's true, then it will upgraded to a Cat. 2 hurricane on the next update, right?

he called it 'breaking news' from the recon plane...they read a pressure of 977mb and a 75kt wind...then they went to commerical
