Re: ATL: Tropical Storm Fay Inside Florida Penninsula
Just got a 37mph gust, winds still SE, so Fay must still be SW of Hobe Sound. Can't wait for this slow mover to go over Lake "O".

scorpion -- that's what I was wondering too. Seems like if she continues this NE track that's evident on radar, she'll at least cross the northern shore of Lake O and maybe spend some time over water. Can't say I can recall any storm doing that before in my lifetime so I don't know what impact it would have. The water has to be pretty warm, though Lake O isn't all that deep.

Come on Ivanhater. You know that while you hate the destruction and don't want to see your fair city rattled again, you're a junkie for the excitement. I'm not going to lie and say anything else either. I don't have a house anymore, so I really don't have anything to lose.
Steve
Lol Steve, that is true, the excitement will never go away, but your right gets old when your sitting without power for 3 weeks and you lost your home

If I didn't know any better I would think I was looking
at a hurricane over Florida.

i would also think that with the trough axis moving east as well as her moving a bit more east of the flow around the ULL over texas that she may start to turn NNE late this afternoon , as opposed to the NE movement she has been going. and when this happens (any small change in her trajectory, will have a significant outcome on where she may try to exit florida.
call me crazy , but i think there is some kind of human nature thing for people to "want" to see this make it back over water, since it's basciallly a fun little storm for fl (minus the torndado's), i also see this moving just grazing the NW part of the lake mid afternoon.
it may be soon time for some pro-wobble watching.
p.s you can ever see her "eye" in wv wow. clewiston must be getting some kind of weather

Not necessarily. They will do it before landfall...but then they coordinate with the WFO on whether or not to go back to every 3 hours. For instance...Dolly. The NHC asked BRO if it would be OK to go back to 3 hourlies once it made landfall...and they agreed.

Just on the visible, the structure looks amazing, even while being on land.
