Refreshing to read a pro met admit he was wrong...
Bastardi cried uncle this morning too - said a piece of energy escaped to the NE and, with it, the chances of reforming and heading north.
He made mention of the fact that he can't find a track in history that conforms to the GFS depiction either.

Forgive me if I didn't know that but, in the immortal, and irritating, words of Steve Lyons, "Good news!"

I surrender. Ground is thoroughly saturated. Not sure how much more rain we will get.

Fay the water hating TC. I've never seen anything like this.
If this gets back to 60kts I'll be surprised. Despite this, everybody affected needs to be ready for flooding rain.

On radar, it seems to me that Fay has at least a few toes in the water, and will just start making more rain bands now.

Lake O went from 11.26ft before Fay to 11.80ft.After all the rain that went into that lake I would of thought it would of been over 13ft by now.

Once Fay gets back fully inland it should intensify quite rapidly again. Possibly hurricane strength by the time it reaches GA/AL. We've had two tropical storms named over land this year, why not a hurricane?

LOLI'm considering offering Fay for free to a good home on Craigs list.
Has any other system sat in one spot for this duration (or longer) before?
Hurricane/TS Agnes sat on me it seemed like for days here in PA:
