Did she turn west soon enough?

Looks like we won't even get many decent showers in Houston if it goes in just between CRP and VCT. Galveston would get 25-35 mph wind sustained and maybe 50-60 mph gusts.

Claudette isn't a large storm in size Houstonia.....it appears the strongest winds will occur between Aransas Pass and Bay City. I doubt gusts will reach hurricane force in Freeport.

I saw the radar last night...the rain sheild is not too big either, so wherever it hits, the NNE (??) side is going to get the 5-8" rains...but it won't be a big area.
