so after putting every kid on the buses this morning (in winds they are not allowed to drive in), having all those kids wait in the rain and wind at their busstops, Seminole County puts out this press release at 8:42 AM after almost every kid has arrived at school

Schools remain open in Seminole County today. However, PIO Regina Klaers just announced that the school will relax its absentee policy today.
Because weather conditions have changed, she said, students who stay home today will receive an excused absence, which will not count agaist perfect attendance or exam exemption.
No note is required.

Yeah tolakram but in the last two hours (frames) you can see she moved slightly further offshore.

I think she's decided to live here, like someone said on another thread she's Earth's Red Spot.

I don't see any movement away from the coast. If anything it's moving NW still, but the eye is oblong and seems to be getting bigger. In short I don't think we can tell without recon.

Not in the last half hour tolakram but looking at that 3 day loop you posted you can see at one point she was just 1 or 2 miles away from landfall with the center of the eye on shore now only the west side is on shore.

They're talking about Fay on NBC now. Looking at the flooding I'm seriously considering if Fay's the next Allison and could actually be retired.

Looks to me that she has started a move to the west on RadarLab HD.

Eh... it looks to be in nearly the exact same position as it was when I went to bed 10 hours ago... it is not moving, period... or at least it hasn't in the last 12 hours.

If Fay did this in the Gulf west of us and hung that eastern half over us for 48 hours we would literally have like 3-4 feet of rain. A Florida person once told me there was another tropical storm that did just that a decade or two ago.

she is auditioning for one of those snickers ad's i think. "not going anywhere for a while"

storm center i agree with you that she may just eventually die over florida (or GA)

she can't go south right . am i right or am i right , right right right (ned bryrson -groundhog day)

appears the eye is getting bigger as opposed to movement and if you look at radar her NE rain shield is getting eroded quickly probably thanks to the high building down the coast on WV, and this SHOULD? get her moving in the next few hours, if not then i give up, seriously
