Looks like the system is finally moving again looking at the radar, should be making its next landfall very soon I'd guess.

Seems like the center is shrinking a bit or wrapping up a bit.

Well Fay is going to have to dip farther south if she is going to affect the entire state of Florida...

:D

Here in North West Lakeland we have been right on the outside of her pin wheel.. We just cant get into her rain shield...At least this time if she passes to our north we may get some of the feederbands...I have had less than a inch of rain with Fay..

Consider yourself lucky. I'm still surrounded by water.

That shows the Tampa Bay hurricane shield almost perfectly. By the time fay is done that graphic will show the outline of the shield :) Of course this is not professional observation just a general observation.

Going to Home Depot in Sanford in a little bit. Can anyone tell me how long a "cubit" is. The plans I think call for 80 cubits long and 40 cubits wide. Winds are light gusting perhaps to 30 mph but the rain just doesn't let up EVER. It's been non-stop since yesterday. Some areas have broken 20 inches but luckily we haven't hit that mark or come close to it yet. The big worry is the St. John's River it flows south to north (that's correct one of the few rivers that does.) The head waters are in the Brevard County around Melbourne where 21 inches of rain have fallen so far. That's half the annual by the way. All that water is going to be headed my way on its way to Jacksonville. The end of the week is going to be very interesting for anyone along the river.

By the way Gators are now using picnic tables to get out of the water. It's nothing to see a snake or gator plodding down the sidewalks or middle of the street. The best scientific description I can give of Fay at the moment what a B@$^%!!

we are still right on the edge of the inner circulation. I'm curious as to how much rain we have had. We just moved into this house and were actually dodging feeder bands all week just to get the essentials from our old house.

It's a 1930's house that is leaking in a few spots so the landlord is gonna have some repairs to do. It's still our dream house though with the exception of actually owning it of course

What a great post!! I can only imagine alligators sitting on the picnic table! I have some great pictures after a Louisiana swamp tour which made this post very visual. ;-) Take care - and keep your feet up.

A bit old, but gives you an idea of vast nature of the circulation...

Me too ... brought back the image of wading down the middle of Miller Drive towards University of Miami during TS Dennis in '81. Pygmy rattlers swimming all around me ...

Based on this radar it appears Fay is definitely on the move to the W or WNW. The west side of th e"eye" has now moved to two counties inland from being just on the coast to one county inland earlier. It isn't fast by any means but unless I'm crazy(quiet in the bleachers please!!) or my eyes are decieving me Fay is plodding towards the W or WNW now.

I was just looking at the visible of her and noticed shes gotten a good bit large. She'll be slower to die off or ramp up no I think. A lot more moisture to pull from.
