absolutely with 4 inch an hour rain totals in some spots , which appear to be training things could go down hill fast near the capital.

some places nearing a foot on the eastern panhandle , this does not look good

http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/radar.ph ... 11&loop=no

considering she is not really moving , and convection is building over the areas that have gotten the most rain, could see 2 feet by late evening.

Understood, but she still is a bit more than just an outside interest to many others.

So on the previous page where you said Fay's end was near, obviously you don't think its THAT near.

Lake Okeechobee water levels may be at that right now but by the end of the day they will be down back to where they were. Just talked to a friend in PB and he said that there is about 10mph current going out of the drainage canals already and they will keep pumping.

cut me a little slack, i just opened my eyes from sleeping and started typing lol

however , i mean if she continues moving west because the shear monster is over there (she is done as tropical storm soon, and the shear will probably start creeping east

Good Morning All! Nothing like wakeing up to TS warnings. Sure beats waking up to a Cat-5 though. After I finish my coffee, we are going to head out and secure the property, you know pick up all the stuff that might get displaced in a TS force wind. Currently the winds are out of the north at 4mph here at the house. I bought a cheap weather station a few months ago so I'll get to see how it preformes in a TS or TD in the coming days. Intensity wise, Fay may get a little better organized today once she hits the water again. However, once she gets closer to Mississippi, upper level shear should put her in check. At most I expect Fay to be a 50mph TS by the time she gets to me provided she trackes along of just south of the coast. If Fay tracks inland prior to my local than she will be weaker, perhaps a TD. Hopefully Fay will not stall over SE Louisiana.......MGC

Of course the above is the opinion of MGC and not an official forecast.

How fast(slow) is she moving today? She doesn't look like she has moved much at all.
Strenghtened or weakened?
I'm sure this has been posted, but I went thru the last few pages and didnt' see it, and with 641 pages, it's easier to just ask. :)

AT 1000 AM CDT...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM FAY WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 30.1 NORTH...LONGITUDE 85.6 WEST OR ABOUT 100
MILES...160 KM...EAST-SOUTHEAST OF PENSACOLA FLORIDA.

FAY IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 7 MPH...11 KM/HR...AND THIS
MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO. ON THE
FORECAST TRACK...FAY WILL BE NEAR OR OVER THE GULF COAST OF THE
WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE TODAY AND TONIGHT...AND NEAR OR OVER
THE GULF COAST OF MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA ON SUNDAY.

Obviously from the NHC

Looks like Pensacola will be getting what Tally is getting very late tonight, that's if dry air doesn't eat this thing up before then.
