I'm not entirely sure where it would come from if it did form. It extends from about 5 north to 19 north. This could be the most epic poof ever...but it's that time of year for it not to poof.

Man, talk about the blacktop on that one though.

Enormous would not be a proper description for this entity, if it were to make it out over the Eastern Atlantic intact.

Western Mali (and soon eastern Senegal) must be getting pounded with some serious rain, thunder & lightning... the works.

Reminds me an awesome wave in the end of JULY, but a little bit stronger than his predecessor ( 19th of July in this period) but without any dots it's another impressive wave this year, very amazing maybe the THIRD or the FOURTH this year for the moment ( hope that this one will be the last lol, but it's look like more an utopia in the peak of the season lol. Fortunately for this monster waves, their size does not equals always from their future developpement and possible damages .

12z GFS wants to develop this. Long range it brings it north of the islands and recurves it maybe affecting Bermuda.

Very interesting but the GFS probably is over developing it in the short term based on what it currently is doing, the key is how it reacts after about 24-48hrs over water and whether it holds the good convection.

not all that surprising really that its all gone, that tends to happen with these waves with such large convective masses.

The bigger they are, the quicker they deflate.

Now the tiny round balls that sling off the Ivory Coast - those you have to watch out for.
