Possible Development east of Phillipines?

#1 Postby Tampa_God » Sun Aug 24, 2008 6:10 pm

Looking at Infrared, it looks like this thing is starting to spin off towards the northwest. Kinda messy still, but I expect this to become an invest in the next 24 hours.

It already is an invest. Its 98W. Feel free to create a thread for it in active storms if you wish.

Well, don't I feel like an idiot now. Normally I just come here and see all the invests posted. I'll surely make a thread.

There are so many invests in the WPac that don't develop that no one bothers to create a thread until it is given fair or good by JTWC or is mentioned by the JMA.

True. Looks like this will be taking the same path as the last storm. Crossing Northern Phillipines and than impacting southern China or Hong Kong.

Off Topic: Just noticed you live in Red Wing. I actually lived in Winona for 7 years. Have my grandparents living there at the moment. And traveled back last year and got caught up in the flooding. Wasn't fun.

Well, the night the flooding reports were coming in, me, my pop, and sisters had to leave for the airport at 5 am. So driving trough darkness with the possibilty of roads flooded wasn't fun. And our luck, we ran into waters up to our doors, we had a rented suv. And to make it worse, right before we got through the whole thing, our car started drifting, oh what a way to finish our trip.

BTW mods, you can close this thread since I made a invest thread.
