C'Mon In, The Water's Fine!
On the urging of another Storm2k weather friend, Miss Mary, I have (Ouch...hey, no more elbow in the side, Mary!) decided that our Storm2k virtual water volleyball match needs to take place now that it is the heart of summer.
Unfortunately, those of us who have 200 posts or more on Storm2k comprise the team known as the OLDTIMERS (whatever our age).
But we need a team on the other side of the net.
The rules are simple, we first need 20 (or more) Storm2k members with less than 200 posts to come forward, identify yourself, and become part of the opposing team. Each of you with less than 200 posts when you post here are then a team member of the new team.
The winner of the first ever Storm2k virtual water volleyball match will be determined in a very simple way.
If, on Thursday evening, July 31st, at 9 pm eastern, we set a new record for the most Storm2k'ers logged on to the board at the same time, the NEW team defeats the OLDTIMERS....and we go down with heads held high, but knowing that the new kids slammed us a good one.
Sooooo....come on in, the water's fine.
Any team players ready to try?
PS...OLDTIMERS can urge others to check out this post of course. We fall short of the 20 newbies in here, and we capture the Beachball Trophy for 2003! (But we would rather beat you fair and square)

Well, since my name was mentioned, I'll take my place on the Oldtimer's side. Have to ask you though Steve, as I'm jabbing that elbow in, just what do you *really* mean by that term? LOL It's all good though - and a very clever way to encourage members with less than 100 posts to join us. Just think we might meet a totally new friend this way - something I highly encourage.
So anyone out there with less than 100 posts, please don't shy - we won't bite.....er, splash.....too much that is!!!
I'm lousing at serving though.....warn you all of that!

Actually Mary...changed it to under "200" posts.
And don't worry about serving the ball, we also have to stand in the deep end of the pool. We'll have all we can do just to keep above water!!!!
We ought to be very easy to beat...but then again, we're also wanting to see just how good we really are.
So join us for a game?

OK....Jenn can't win the game by herself against those of us here. She's the only one so far with less than 200 posts...so she's the only one on the other side of the net.
Who's gonna help this lonely soul beat up all the noisy folks over here. Who's next to sign up who has less than 200 posts?
19 to go!

Well, I've invited 2SeamFastball, Angelheart, Alicat and Breezystorms (formerly Keirstein on TWC boards) to join us. Let's hope they do join us - feel free to PM them too, if any of you care to!!!! I think I have their names accurate above, for what they chose here at Storm2K. 2SeamFastball used to be Toalba on TWC.
Jenn is looking mighty lonely over there. I'll work on rounding up more friends if I get the time.
Time on the pc - always a rare commodity these days.
Chad - cool pic! Looks so inviting, I'd jump in and I'm not a swimmer, he he. Shhhh, don't tell anyone!
