BOC Development? Where did this come from?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

BOC Development? Where did this come from?

#1 Postby HouTXmetro » Tue Aug 26, 2008 9:43 am

This looks like it has a shot, and how would it effect Gustav?

I saw that too, and the last few visible frames show a bit of LL inflow. I saw the GFS a while back show something develope and move into Mexico a few days back but didn't pay attention to it.

The pressures are low and if the convection persist who knows! This may move Gus across the Yucatan? The shear maps show some bad stuff to North but in the BOC its calm.

People, don't get very excited and then you may be disappointed. Remember that Gustav will be near the area is a few days and the clock is ticking. Lets wait 24 hrs and see how this blob reacts. My vote is that it will weaken and likely develop again tomorrow since there is nothing at the surface.
