If it gets caught under the ridge it will accelerate to the W. Not saying it will be Andrew, but once he got under the ridge he flew towards SFL.

if this were to happen, central FL would probably be the target

:uarrow:

Again its not prudent to narrow down specific geographic regions, lets just see what the trends say.

I know everything is uncertain at this point but i'm looking for a general idea...

IF Hanna was to manuver around the shear what kind of category storm are we looking at if it were to hit FL Thursday?

or IF it stalled and hit FL Sat or Sun

If Hanna makes it to that 27.5N latitude and then gets caught under the ridge W or WSW is very possible, now way to predict Central FL, SFL, or Keys. Jeanne went west, Betsy went WSW, I think the 1947 or 49 major cane went WSW back to Boca area, and Andrew even went WSW before going due W across SFL. Recurve out to sea, Carolinas, and dissipation is just as likely IMO.

Won't this hurt TD8 from developing or let it move any more to the west?

I posted this morning. But I didn't think any one was wake much. and it was only a TD too.
The ULL is going to be trouble in some ways. But this ULL has been there the whole time and look what she has done. So maybe it is not going to be much as a factor in the play of Hanna but which way she moves up around or under around. I think up and over myself.

Now I did go and look at Andrew but I can't copy the it for some reason. But it is like right in the tracks. Sorry Fl I know you didn't want to here that. Get the boats ready and tie down the hatches. it is going to be a little bumpy in the road ahead

That is due to a limit on the number of times storms in any given year can be compared to Andrew by the We-Are-Watching-You-Club.

Last I checked, they were already waving their arms and running in circles.

At this stage its jsut too early to know whats going to happen to Hanna, thats provtheres no certainty thats providing it survives the shear at all, which is no certainty at this stage.

the llc appears to have slowed/moving erratically

gator perhaps the recent blow up of convection can suck the swirl back under, what does anyone think about that

Unless that ULL backs away, that LLC will remain exposed.

Well what I was talking about with Hanna moving directly under the ULL is, ULL's have worked their way down to the surface before, over a period of many days, and have become TD's or TS's. Now the question is, if Hanna moved right under the ULL would the ULL "link" with the LLC or what would happen?

That ULL is tearing Hanna to shreds. It's be nice if it'd do the same to Gustav.

I don't see how the calendar has anything to do with the media and residents going bonkers.
It's based on what is being said by the Pro Mets, NHC and models and has nothing to do with the date.

Yes and no. It's exposing the center but the system as a whole is very vigorous and pulsing deep convection to the east. It's just a matter of time until the conditions will improve (unfortunately).

Well the thing to note is the LLC is pretty strong, it almost certainly will be downgraded but I think with such a strong looking LLC the NHC won't get rid of this for a while and by that time I think that conditions will start to slowly improve.

On a fecitious note I would say the ULL has decided to go after Gustav now and has given up on Hanna --- it seems to be moving inarguably west or WSW now...towards Gustav..

Usually in this part of the Atlantic the ULLs dominate but now they appear outnumbered with the Gustav-Hanna tagteam
