more specifically, for Lafayette - AM 1330/KVOL - FM 99.9/KTDY should have emergency alert updates, which would hopefully include changes/problems with evac routes

According to New Orleans media reports at about 10:30 AM CDT US 90 and virtually every LA State Road north of NO is at a dead stop.Janie2006 wrote:Furthermore, Interstate 10 in coastal Mississippi is heavily congested. Currently it's sunny with a light breeze, you would never know what is coming tomorrow morning. Completely boarded up, have two generators, lots of supplies, and all the family is here so we're as prepared as we can be. Weather service is forecasting winds to 95mph for the city of Lafayette so wish us the best! I'll try to post this afternoon and tonight while we're bracing for landfall.
