NHC write up on Stacy Stewart

#1 Postby tomboudreau » Thu Aug 28, 2008 7:07 am

Not sure how many saw this at the top of the Hurricane Center's website. They have an article about Stacy and his return back to the Hurricane Center after 20 month deployment to Iraq. Article says that he was injured in Iraq from and IED and needed 4 months of rehab and PT. Glad he has made it home safely. Thank you for serving this country Mr. Stewart.

This is a great write up. I'm glad Stewart is back safely. I fear many S2Kers won't see this since most everyone is focusing on the Active Storms forum. Maybe it could be posted up there as off-topic -- in the announcements section perhaps?

This deserves to be widely read, and Stacy Stewart honored for his wonderful service to our country.

It will be great to read his discussions again-- can't wait!

I always thought he was one of the most stand-up guys in noaa. This only cements that feeling.

Wish we could honor him in some way, not only did he drop everything and serve our country proudly, but he writes the absolute best discussions. Hearing him on an old internet radio question and answer a few years back was pretty cool too, he talked an extra hour+ with us which was really nice.

It's sad kids these days look up to pokemon lol instead of having fathers/neighbors/etc like this they can admire.
