According to this morning's QS. The center is near 23N 72W. Which make the CDO almost symmetric over the center:

Good morning everyone and Happy Labor Day to you all...

Reporting from Providenciales.....conditions here last night deteriorated quite a bit......very gusty winds and accompanying rains as I speak. Intermittent thunder & Lightning.

They have it going or dipping down south a tad in their tracks. But right now to the best I can see which is hard to see but looks like it is heading to the WNW and not West or WSW. Just from What I see. I havn't read what NC discussion yet

She took everything that the ULL could throw at it and still maintained a vigorous circulation. Maybe Hanna should have been Ike instead...(sorry, Bad Ike Turner joke)

Speaking of Ike... Looks like he is on deck...It is definitely September. Gonna be a busy month.

Be careful there in the Turks and Caicos Greels.

JMO, but the sooner recon gets to Hanna the better. The bahamas may have to prepare for more than just a TS based on what I'm seeing so far this morning and they won't have a lot of lead time to do it.

Hanna is taking off her brown wig, and taking center stage!! In all seriousness, i hope we see the beginning of a north movement today, an ever so slight one would have me feeling better. Sooo, Bring on the recon!!

I wonder whether the center has relocated intothe deep convection, it wouldn't msurprise me to omuch if that happened given it was weakening as the explosive convection developed just to the SE.

Indeed if Qscat is correct then we probably have a top end tropical storm on our hands

Does the TWC use different rules for their cone? Dr Lyons just showed a projected track for Hanna with what appears to be a much smaller cone and S FL completely out of their cone...

Do you think the quicker she intensifies the more likely she will take a more northerly track in this current setup?

The big blob of convection on the visible satellite seems to be moving slightly WNW in the last few frames.

Actually I think it may be the other way around based on Stewart's disco from 5:00AM. Unless I am reading it wrong I believe that it indicated that a deeper storm would pump up the ridge and move the storm more to the west.

Once Gustav weakens I think Hanna will strengthen more rapidly as the northerly shear (Gustav's outflow) weakens. It would not surprise me to see Hurricane Hanna in 36-48 hours.

The NHC 8am position was: 23.6 N / 72.4 W.

The Best Track is 30 miles S and 18 miles W of the 8am.
