The LLC you see there is near 8N/43.5W, not up where the blob of storms is near 12N/42W. I believe you're just identifying the ITCZ on Quickscat. But I do see a trace of spin up north near the disturbance.

Took me a minute to detect that spin you are talking about Wxman, but it is there. So, is the "big spin" the broad low?
