Thursday here in SV we were still in a record streak of consecutive 100+F days. Friday, we maxed out at 81F and today at 5:30pm we were getting light rain with the temperature at 75F and Tucson, 50 airmiles away, was 95F. In June 2000, we had one day where at 4pm it was 58F after a particularly heavy downpour and Tucson was 101F. For those who are interested, I have posted a review of my onset outlooks in the Special Topics page located in the Potpourri section of my homepage.

For Some Reason
I've been in a timewarp all day thinking today was Saturday. It was Wednesday when we had the last of the 100F days in the string and Thursday when we were 81F-Today being Friday of course all of the rest is correct.
