JetMaxx wrote:Helen, you and I agree on this one....IMO that young woman will be crucified in the media; portrayed by Bryant's legal team and many Laker fans as "a money seeking harlot who seduced poor, innocent Kobe, then turned on him like a piranha".
One of Becky's best friends from college was sexually assaulted, robbed, and beaten when she was 20....and I'll never forget seeing her in the hospital...how frightened and distraught she was. Terri didn't deserve what that lowlife #$##@## did to her then -- and IMO neither did the young resort employee in Colorado.
Just because Kobe Bryant is a famous multi-millionaire athlete doesn't mean he's a nice guy that behaves as a gentleman around ladies....both Mike Tyson and O.J. Simpson proved that (among others![]()

Whichever way this comes out he's guilty. I feel bad for his wife, but then again..she doesn't seem to mind the fact that he fornicated to his hearts content....the way she sits next to him...rubbing his hand, feeling so bad for poor Kobe.....My ass would be out the door....and rightly so!
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous...its sickening.

blizzard wrote:JetMaxx, yeah, sounds like you are pretty biased. I understand that you know of some ladies that have went through assault and it is never good. I guess we wait and see what the court system comes up with on this one.
I have to agree with the innocent until proven guilty posts. that's what our system is based on. And as for O.J., if he was aquitted, there must be a reason. The only person that really knows if he was truly guilty or not is him. Not you or Me. Not that I think that he is innocent, but the fact remains, the jury found that he was not guilty. We can think what we want.
He(O.J.) may have been acquitted and got away with murder, but he was found guilty in the civil lawsuit filed against him. The cops did a poor job as far as the evidence goes in the murder trial.

...I should have read all the posts before posting. I get the impression from reading a few of these posts that some of you don't know the facts as they are so far. This is a "she said, he said" case, with no debate as to whether they had sex. The question is did he force himself upon her and did she say no. The DA must have some pretty damning evidence...and I'm speculating here, but either witnesses that heard the pleas to stop while the headboard bounces repeatedly against the wall...eyewitnesses perhaps of the woman leaving the room in a hysterical state, torn clothing....bruises....if she has hand bruises on her arms, neck... pointing to forced restraint.
We've all been in Hotel rooms and you are merely a wall away from the nearest ear. I mean think about it.....in your own home you're afraid to squeak the bed for fear the children down the hall might hear you and have trauma that lasts the rest of their lives! Kobe is 6'7", and I'm sure he makes a racket.
Now that isn't to say that consentual sex is void of screams and howls, but I would have to say that the trained ear can tell the difference between cries of ecstasy and pleas to STOP!
But like OJ...he's innocent till proven guilty.

and what if she is a money seeking harlot?? You dont think there are women out there that would do something this dispicable for money? You guys are talking as if you know that he did it.. Im not saying he is innocent im just saying dont say the guy is guilty until you have at least seen the proof
Ok, I won't attack everyone here, LOL. But I have no problem speaking my mind to Chad, LOL.
What about the potential victim here? Why are we so concerned about the accused' rights? Our system sickens me how we're all about the rights of the criminal and then we go and accuse the victims. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this?
