Re: ATL: Tropical Storm Kyle : Discussion
This is just going to be a fish storm so Florida and the rest of the east coast can sit on the benches and watch this football player run away and tackle north towards Canada. But now Florida has to watch about those waves coming off the African coast I can see.

PLEASE HurricaneFreak, STOP TALKING ABOUT STORMS THAT COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE MORE DEATH AS IF THEY ARE "FISH STORMS" - JUST BECAUSE THEY AREN'T GOING TO EFFECT YOUR AREA!
It's as if you want storms to hit you.. you have, on no less than three occasions, refereed to Kyle as a Fish storm. Stop it! It's not really cool, especially when I have to read this but the 3 day forecast line is right over my house.

Canada is our NATO ally, and even flew AWACs missions over the Northern US immediately after the 9/11 attacks. Canadian soldiers have fought and died (at least once due to US friendly fire) in Afghanistan fighting al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Actually, a fast-moving storm there increases wind damage potential due to less time over cooler waters north of 40°N. If it is moving at 35 mph towards Nova Scotia, it only about 6 hours over that water. Juan only weakened slightly on approach (from 90-95 kt to 85 kt).

I believe one in 1893 had 95 kt winds at landfall.

given my recent memory with storms supposed to take a track like kyle is doing , THE nhc is being political and keeping the track about 150 miles or so too close to the east coast than will pan out. again my opinion.

good question lol
i think the storm will be going further east by at least 150 miles (more than the nhc) forecasts and that many times in the past, the nhc tends to take the conservative track (that keep's the public's attention) in case something unexpected happens, given that not too many will complain when the storm rides "a bit further out to sea" get it?
