I'd have to vote for Ike too. We had a massive blackout in Cincinnati. 90% of our electric company's (Duke) customers lost power. Many for a few days, some for a week! We lost power for 19 hours but the impact of many tree limbs down, cost a few lives, damaged many homes, cars destroyed, thousands of dollars in spoiled food, residential and commercial, etc. We had traffic lights out forever it seemed like. Many drivers would just avoid certain intersections because you took your life in your hands trying to drive thru a busy 4 way - many drivers didn't even slow down! It was chaos to say the least....nothing like the Gulf region but way the heck up here in Ohio, we never thought we'd see sustained hurricane force winds at times, for 3+ HOURS!
