keyword here is CORN. . . With the increased use of biofuels (made from corn), prices for anything containing High Frutrose Corn Syrup (HFCS) have increased. . . and part of the problem is also that they put HFCS in everything nowadays in place of sugar (prices of which is kept artificially high).



I don't recall the exact numbers...but, there was more corn grown in the Delta region of Mississippi this year than any other crop. Traditionally the Delta growers go with cotton.
